Heavy metals and toxic elements are found everywhere in the environment and exposure can contribute to a wide range of different health conditions.
One can be exposed to toxic compounds by either:
Excessive exposure to toxins may lead to an accumulation in the body. They tend to deposit and store in adipose (fat) and glandular tissue and it is therefore difficult to determine their actual levels unless they are provoked and released from these sites of storage.
The liver is the main detoxifying organ of the body and is responsible for the clearing of these compounds. If the toxic burden becomes too high for the liver to cope with, the toxins will spill back into the bloodstream where they circulate and store in different parts of the body, particularly in fat and glandular tissue (thyroid gland, adrenals, pineal gland among others). Their presence, in the long-term may lead to disruptions in the normal function of these glands and contribute to disease.
The Heavy Metal and Environmental Toxin Test provides information on the presence of heavy metals and toxic elements in the body. It tests for a wide range of heavy metals, chemical compounds and environmental toxins that individuals are commonly exposed to.
The full test report will provide you with information on the most common sources of these compounds as well as their possible toxic effects. This test allows you to fully assess the presence and effects of exogenous toxins.
Aluminium, Antimony, Arsenic, Barium, Beryllium, Bismuth, Cadmium, Cesium, Cobalt, Fluorine, Gallium, Germanium, Gold, Lead, Mercury, Nickel, Palladium, Platinum, Rubidium, Scandium, Silver, Strontium, Thallium, Tin, Titanium, Uranium
Acrylamide, Azo Compounds, Benzene, Bisphenol A, Formaldehyde, Malathion, Organic Solvents, Parabens, Perchlorate, Peroxides, Phthalates, Polyvinylchloride (PVC), Sodium Hypochlorite, Styrene, Xylene
2,4 D; 2,4,5 T, DDT, Dioxins, Endosulfan, Hydrogen Cyanamide (Hi-CaneⓇ), Glyphosate (RoundupⓇ), Methyl Bromide, Organophosphates, Paraquat
Calcium, Copper, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Phosphorus, Potassium, Selenium, Zinc.
Please note that coloured or treated hair is NOT suitable for this test. Untreated hair from other parts of the body or fingernails can be used.
When the test comes back with high levels of environmental toxins and/or chemicals, a personalised protocol can be set up to reduce/remove these toxins.
A standard detox or cleanse may not remove stored heavy metals.
Heavy Metal & Toxin Tests cost $249. This include the $70 follow-up consultation.
