This Cortisol test is a simple, non-invasive saliva test that helps measure how your body responds to stress and can reveal imbalances in your adrenal glands. These glands, located on top of your kidneys, play a key role in how your body handles stress. Over time, the constant pressure from daily life—whether it’s physical, emotional, or mental—can wear down the adrenal glands, leading to a condition known as adrenal fatigue.

Your adrenal glands are part of your body’s hormonal system and are made up of two parts: the outer cortex and the inner medulla. When the adrenal glands get overworked, it can lead to common issues like tiredness, mood swings, and difficulty coping with stress.

One of the best ways to check how your adrenal glands are functioning is through a salivary cortisol test. This test measures cortisol, the main stress hormone, at four points during the day (8 AM, 12 PM, 4 PM, and 8 PM) by testing saliva samples. It’s especially helpful for people who feel tired all the time or experience stress-related symptoms like anxiety, depression, or weight gain.

This test can give you important insights into what might be causing your fatigue and help guide your treatment to improve your energy levels and overall well-being.
